The Hartford is designed with 1.7" spacing between pickets to give you a beautiful New England look. Both top and bottom rails are "notched" so when you insert them in the posts they will remain secure. Plus, each picket is individually notched to lock into the bottom rail. The bottom rail also includes a metal "U" channel for superior stability. The Hartford truly is a beautiful and distinctive picket fence.
